Black Bird is a South African/Zimbabwean/Zambian female rapper. She is also an MC, a voice-over artist, a journalist and a Radio/TV presenter & producer.
In 2010 Black Bird made history by being the first female to release a hip-hop album in Zimbabwe. After the release of ‘Tha Rappetizer” in 2010, Black Bird went on to release “Mixtape Memoirs in 2011″.
Black Bird was the first female rapper to be invited to H.I.F.A (Harare International Festival of the Arts) in 2011 and she performed there for a second time in 2013.
Currently Black Bird is the only artist from Zimbabwe who currently has a video on rotation Channel O and she is receiving both local and international recognition for her NAMA Awards nominated ‘Waiting For Love’ music video.
